The moment they saw the new materials, students immediately started talking about which games they wanted to play and how excited they were for the 8th grade picnic. Many students shared that this would be one of their favorite memories before moving on to high school.\r\n\r\nThe new supplies helped create a fun, active, and welcoming environment where students could relax, celebrate their accomplishments, and spend quality time together outside of the classroom. During the picnic, students used the games and sports equipment to participate in friendly competitions, team activities, and group games. One of the best moments was watching students who do not normally interact during the school day come together, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being kids. The equipment helped students build friendships, teamwork skills, and positive memories during an important milestone year.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited to have enough materials for everyone to participate at the same time. The outdoor activities kept students engaged, active, and connected throughout the event. Seeing their smiles, laughter, and excitement reminded us how meaningful these experiences are for middle school students.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these resources will continue to be used during school celebrations, outdoor incentive days, team-building activities, and end-of-year events for future students. The materials will help us continue creating positive school experiences that strengthen relationships, build community, and celebrate student success. Thank you for helping provide our students with a memorable and meaningful 8th grade experience they will carry with them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1777860400865,"projectUrl":"project/send-off-to-success-help-us-celebrate-o/10248574/","projectTitle":"Send-Off to Success: Help Us Celebrate Our 8th Graders!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10489910_orig.jpg?crop=432,432,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777898702693","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10489910"},{"teacherId":5634963,"projectId":10122413,"letterContent":"WOW, I am expressing to you the satisfaction of how I felt the first time allowing my students to use this cutter. I can not wait to put these items to use this semester in my STEM classes. Last semester we raced boats made out of popsicle sticks, we drew plans and constructed catapults to launch mini marshmellows into a targets. We also used our own imaginations to come up with the longest paper chain out of a 8x12 piece of paper. Some of my students minds just ran with the projects. They really showed me how much their little brains can think.
