Many of my seventh grade students have an abundance of energy that makes it difficult at times to attend to the lesson. By providing seating options that appeal to the needs of various learning styles (such as the wobble stools, yoga ball chairs, & a standing desk with swivel footrest that I have requested),I hope to help my students be successful throughout this year. In addition to meeting students learning style needs, flexible seating would help motivate students and improve our classroom climate. When students feel comfortable in a classroom, they are better able to focus on learning. After serving as a master teacher for the past 4 years, this is my first year back in the classroom. I am looking forward to building up a math classroom where students will be excited to enter!
