Sometimes something as simple as having a snack available can help a student settle in, refocus, and feel cared for.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they began seeing the new items arrive and watching the empty corners of our library turn into spaces made especially for them. I love seeing them find their favorite spots, get comfortable with a book, or use the calm area when they need a little break. Those moments may seem small, but they have helped make the library feel less like just another room at school and more like a place where they belong.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building routines around these spaces and encouraging students to use them independently and responsibly. As we continue reading, exploring new books, and doing library activities together, I want them to know there will always be a welcoming corner here for them.
