My second graders rely on a lot of visual stimuli for learning. The easel will be used during instruction time for all subjects. The anchor chart that I use during teaching can be displayed where all students can see them very easily during whole group instruction during carpet time. I can also use it as a dry erase board during small group instruction when working on reading and math skills. Because the easel is magnetic the students can use magnetic letters on the easel to spell, make sentences, and read words given to them while I am working with them in small groups.
