It can be easy to overlook the importance of basic classroom supplies, but for my students, items such as crayons, markers, pencils, glue sticks, privacy shields, and storage containers have made a tremendous difference in their everyday learning experiences. Your generosity has helped create a classroom where my students have the materials they need to learn, create, stay organized, and feel successful.\r\n\r\nIn first grade, we use crayons, markers, pencils, and glue sticks almost every single day. These supplies are essential tools that allow my students to participate fully in lessons and activities. Pencils help them practice handwriting, complete math problems, and grow as young writers. Crayons and markers allow them to express their creativity, illustrate their writing, complete projects, and bring their ideas to life. Glue sticks make it possible for students to participate in hands-on activities that make learning more engaging and meaningful. Having these supplies readily available means that my students can focus on learning instead of worrying about whether they have the materials they need.\r\n\r\nThe privacy shields have also been a wonderful addition to our classroom. They give students their own personal learning space when completing independent assignments and assessments. For young learners who are still developing their ability to focus, having fewer distractions can make a huge difference. These shields help students concentrate, work independently, and feel confident in showing what they know.\r\n\r\nOur storage containers may seem like another simple classroom item, but they have had a meaningful impact as well. A first-grade classroom is filled with supplies, learning materials, manipulatives, books, and projects. Having proper storage allows us to keep our classroom organized and makes materials easier for students to find and use. It also teaches my students responsibility and independence as they learn where materials belong and how to take care of our shared classroom resources.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donation has shown my students that there are people outside of our classroom who believe in them and care about their education. That message is incredibly powerful. Every time we pick up a new marker, sharpen a pencil, use a privacy shield, or grab materials from an organized container, we are reminded of the kindness that helped make those resources possible.\r\n\r\nThank you, DonorsChoose and all of our wonderful donors, for investing in my first graders and helping provide the basic tools they need to learn and grow. Your generosity has brought excitement, organization, creativity, and opportunity into our classroom. We are truly grateful for your support and for the difference you have made in our class.","fullyFundedDate":1787177223124,"projectUrl":"project/ready-set-lets-grow/10353558/","projectTitle":"Ready Set Let’s Grow!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5612995_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549472108541","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/annemarie-sanchez"},{"teacherId":5638681,"projectId":10161709,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to our school!
