My students come from a variety of backgrounds. We are a Title 1 school with all of our students receiving free and reduced lunch. They love school and they miss it so very much. They miss each other. Their lives are at a standstill right now, but each day those who are able come to our Google meet ready to learn. My students love to read and write.. but what they love most is to talk!!! They are excited to share their reading and writing ideas. My students love to talk about what we've learned in class. They have so many questions. They can't wait to write everyday. Before COVID-19 started they would beg to keep going!! Everyday at the end of our class period they would say, "Awe please, Ms. Fox we want to keep writing!" I miss watching them write in their journals. I want to keep that passion alive while we are stuck at home!
