My students have very old, sometimes unusable toys to play with at recess. Basketballs, soccer balls, footballs and frisbees will give the students a variety of options while playing outdoors! When students are provided with sports equipment, coupled with playing outside in a safe environment, it boosts their activity level and focus in the classroom. Kids need physical activity and when they have options, students tend to stay active rather than be dormant. Basketball, soccer and football are all team sports. Being able to provide this equipment will encourage students to work together and make choices as a team. This also encourages friendship and a positive way to interact with others.
