Our big reading group table fits our small reading group perfectly with plenty of space for all their materials (books, white boards, markers, sight word sheets) without students feeling like they don't have enough personal space. The fluidity of having one kidney table has made our transitions within small group much faster and student focus has greatly increased because of this. Students in my small group start their day at school in that reading group, so it has been so impactful to have a spacious comfortable table for them to spend their reading time and start their day on a positive note. \r\nWhen they first saw the table, students were very excited and impressed. They especially like how clean and new it looked, especially compared to the last very worn stained tables we were using. They were even more impressed by how much space this table allowed each student to have, compared to our last tables that were in its place and were a much tighter fit for my group. The building materials that were also included in this project brought so much light and joy to our classroom. Students were very eager to get a turn using this new building materials. They named them 'straws' and there continues to be a long signup list for students to have their turn in groups playing with them. They have engineered a variety of things including a house that kids could go inside, cars, shapes. This has been especially effective for studying 3D shapes and counting vertices and sides. \r\nI am so looking forward to the students getting to continually benefit from the beautiful spacious learning table as they continue to progress through our reading lessons. Also, I am always so impressed and will keep looking forward to what new creations they will continue to build with their 'straws'. Thank you so much for your generous donations that brought this joy into our learning community.","fullyFundedDate":1756249752317,"projectUrl":"project/reading-together-rising-together-a-tab/9586686/","projectTitle":"Reading Together, Rising Together: A Table for Literacy Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. LaRussa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9712867_orig.jpg?crop=1237,1237,x57,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755110502311","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9712867"},{"teacherId":3066239,"projectId":9306357,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, the new books in our classroom library have made a powerful impact on my students.
