Nearly 700 students attend my elementary school and they are a diverse bunch! Our Spanish/English Dual Language program draws many students to the school, both native English and native Spanish speakers. Our student body is about 92% students of color and at least 60% of our students speak another language at home. Our free and reduced lunch rate is 85%. The students I work with are just beginning their journey of learning English. They come from a range of countries, mostly Vietnam and a variety of central American countries. They are polite, respectful, and eager to learn!

About my class
