Your gift brought far more than games into our classroom—it brought joy, connection, and a sense of being truly cared for.\r\n\r\nWhen I showed the students the games, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Many of them smiled, laughed, and eagerly opened the boxes, already talking about who they wanted to play with and which games they would try first. Several students shared that they had never played a board game before, and they were unsure of how to play. \r\n\r\nAs the students began playing, I noticed something truly special. They collaborated, encouraged one another, practiced patience and taking turns, and celebrated small victories together. For some students, this was one of the first times they felt confident leading a group or explaining rules to their peers. Others found comfort in simply sitting together, laughing, and being present in the moment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity helped create a space where students felt happy, included, and valued. Now when that rainy day bell rings, I hear shouts of \"Yeah, we get to play our games!\" The games have continued to be a positive presence in our classroom, giving students something to look forward to and a healthy way to connect with one another.\r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness and for thinking of our students. During independent reading time, students now have a wider variety of books to choose from, and it's been incredible to see how quickly they've connected with the new titles, particularly the \"La Novela Grafica\" series.\r\n\r\nThese books are helping us build key reading skills like identifying story elements, inferring character traits, and noticing how a story unfolds from beginning to end. Students are not only practicing these skills during reading conferences and discussions—they're also applying them independently, which shows just how much their confidence is growing.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting changes has been the energy around book choice.
