Kindergarteners draw before they learn to write. Our diverse learners are looking for art supplies that represent our beautiful skin colors. Kindergarten is our first classroom experience; it is highly important that we have the power to draw ourselves accurately. Personal narrative is a vital part of Kindergarten writing. Using culturally relevant art materials to enhance our narrative is incredibly powerful. With your contribution, every time a child draws they will see themselves represented on paper. Using these art materials, we can build a strong sense of self for each diverse learner.
