We love to talk about shadows and light during the winter months and this table has been a perfect addition to those discussions. My students were absolutely amazed at the idea that a table could light up and allow them to see through objects. \r\n\r\nThe students have thoroughly enjoyed seeing how the light table has three different brightness settings and how that changes the way the light shines through the manipulative shapes. With all the different manipulatives, my students have been able to stack them and see how colors change when more than one color is stacked together. Some of my students have made creations using different manipulatives, and their imaginations have amazed me. Without specific directions, my students have been creative and used them in ways I would never have thought of. \r\n\r\nThese investigative and creative experiences have allowed my students to experience the science of light and color in such a concrete way. This is especially important for PreK kiddos who struggle with abstract concepts.
