The colorful magazines provided by the subscription to Time for Kids will motivate students to read nonfiction texts. The digital subscription will allow me to enhance my instruction by using the many resources offered, including whole group lessons on the interactive whiteboard. Students will be able to practice their reading skills using both print and digital materials. Students will have the opportunity to practice their reading skills with parents and siblings weekly when they take their magazines home. This will allow the project to reach more than just the students in my class. The confidence gained by sharing with family members is priceless!
