The rug is bright, colorful, and designed with numbers and colors labeled in both English and Spanish, which makes it especially meaningful for my English learners. When the students first saw it, they were very excited and immediately began pointing out the colors and numbers they recognized in both languages. The painted sitting spots also help students know exactly where to sit, which makes our group lessons more organized and comfortable.\r\n\r\nWe use the rug every day during small group instruction, read-alouds, and language activities. The design naturally encourages conversation as students notice the colors and numbers and talk about them with their classmates. It has become a space where students feel comfortable practicing new vocabulary and participating in discussions. Having a welcoming place to gather has made our lessons more interactive and engaging.\r\n\r\nThis rug will continue to support our learning as we practice colors, numbers, and new vocabulary throughout the year. Once the supplies arrived I was able to use them to motivate the children to get their party points. I made a display and put a sign that said \"Whoooo ( we are the owls) wants a Glow Party? \r\nWe had our weekly classes and I would do a \"commercial\" by turning out the lights and letting them see the paint bottles glow with the one of the black lights. This kept their enthusiasm up and their behavior on point. \r\nI can say I had the most classes get their points for class participation and behavior I have had in a long time. \r\nWhen the day of the party arrived, the students were so amazed when the lights went off and the paint trays glowed with beautiful neon colors. They painted beautiful beach scenes and even commented that it was \" the best day ever\" I let them know that there are people in the world that love them and want them to succeed so they donated the money to the supplies.
