The materials that I have requested will help me provide science instruction that will better prepare our young students to tackle the problems facing them in their future. The STEM activity bundle will help me increase the amount of problem based STEM science activities that the students will be able to do throughout the year. Teaching students through problem solving improve critical thinking and prepares them to become problem solvers. The varied leveled nonfiction book sets and the flexible seats will allow us to carry science into our small group guided reading, where we can comfortably learn about and explore current issues in science through reading and discussion.
