The characters and situations in the books give students a way to see themselves and others with more understanding, which has made our classroom discussions more thoughtful and compassionate.\r\n\r\nReading time has become one of our favorite parts of the day. Students love gathering together to share their thoughts about the stories and reflect on how they can apply the lessons to their own lives. It's been amazing to watch them make connections and use the language from the books to express their feelings more clearly. These moments have strengthened our classroom community and created a safe, supportive environment for learning.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who used to be shy about sharing during class, has really connected with a story about building confidence and now volunteers to read aloud. Others have started recommending books to one another and bringing the messages into their play and problem-solving.
