Having enough resources is important when you learn a second language, in our case Spanish. Students love finding different ways to learn and produce the language. One way to help them is while reading. When students are exposed to a variety or reading resources their vocabulary is expanded and they find enthusiasm while learning. Students can experience this by reading an informative text about a topic they like, reading the story they know pretty well in English, reading important events that marked the history, or by reading a narrative story. What I want is to give students the opportunity to take home Spanish texts to read during their spare time at home, and also have a shelf of books in the class for them to read when needed so they can take any text they want. This will help them to develop independence and autonomy towards learning while they have fun.
