Our community partners also shared the evening with us speaking with families and making the event amazing. All of the first graders attending the event were able to get their own book and have it signed by the author. We've used our whiteboard paddles for activities more because it's so easy to bring out a drawer of the markers and a drawer of the paddles and then collect everything back together. We also have been able to get up and move around with our learning by having clipboards. It makes a huge difference when doing gallery walk learning. \r\n\r\nFinally, some of these materials inject some more fun into our classroom. It always amuses me, when offering prizes and rewards, how happy high school students can be with elementary-type prizes.
