Calculators will help students with their overall math experience. My students struggle with mental math and calculations, so by having calculators in a 1-1 student to calculator ratio, students will be able to focus on learning algebra and less on the tedious calculation that often causes stress and anxiety in the classroom. Since students will calculate more efficient and effectively, this will allow more time for the class to learn more material and go deeper into the content. Providing students with calculators will prepare them to use technology in any and all future endeavors. This will equip students with the skills needed to learn other technological and problem solving skills they will use in the ever changing 21st century workforce.
