Because of your generosity, I was able to furnish a dedicated space for our social work interns and provide Tier One classroom support materials that benefit our entire school community. What was once an empty, undefined space is now a welcoming, functional environment where interns can meet with students, collaborate, and prepare resources that strengthen emotional regulation and resilience across classrooms. Your support didn't just purchase supplies—it created a foundation for meaningful connection and growth.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, both the interns and students were genuinely excited. The regulation tools, organizational supplies, and calming resources were immediately put to use. In one classroom, an intern introduced a simple \"reset routine\" using the new materials, and students quickly began practicing breathing strategies and reflection techniques during transitions. Seeing students independently choose a tool to calm their bodies or refocus their minds has been incredibly powerful. They feel ownership over their regulation, and that confidence is already carrying into their academic work and peer relationships.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, this is only the beginning. Our interns are now building structured Tier One lessons around resilience, coping skills, and healthy decision-making using these resources. We have been loving our culinary rulers. We use the rulers consistently during our cooking labs to ensure students are making even, precise cuts—just like they would in a professional kitchen. The rulers allow students to visually measure their work, self-correct, and build confidence in their technique rather than relying on guesswork.\r\n\r\nMy students were genuinely excited and relieved when they were able to use these rulers. Many students commented that the rulers were \"way better than guessing\" and appreciated having a clear, concrete tool to help them succeed. It immediately made the task feel more achievable and professional.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue applying these knife skills in more advanced labs, including stir-fries, soups, and knife-cut assessments where each student must demonstrate their skills individually.
