This gets them thinking in a different way. However, if they don't have the supplies to do this, it doesn't work. This is where you and your donations come in. As a 1-to-1 school where each student has a Chromebook, one of the biggest issues I run into is students showing up without their devices charged. Places to plug devices in are limited and difficult to reach, so the extended length surge protector/power strips have made what was once a giant pain in the rear into a simple act of just plugging in at their tables. Students are no longer wasting time trying to find a plug, nor are they leaving a trail of cords as a tripping hazard around them.\r\nAdditionally, the ability to quickly clean up small messes and spills makes me more willing to do activities that might make a small mess. Because those small messes add up over time, in the past I would have a mountain of mess to clean up at the end of the day. There were a variety of supplies on my list, from cleaning and organizing supplies, to arts and crafts supplies. My students were VERY curious when I began to receive an abundance of packages, especially because I RARELY have things delivered to my classroom. \r\n\r\nThe organization supplies were very much needed. I'm in my fourth year of teaching and I still didn't have paper trays or turn-in baskets. This has made my life so much easier- instead of having stacks of paper all over the place, I can simply say \"put it in the basket\" and my students know what I'm talking about! And having a basket for each class makes grading significantly faster. Additionally, I requested just some organizing bins and pouches. These have been wonderful in helping me to organize my cabinets. \r\n\r\nLots of the arts and crafts supplies were requested specifically for February- In February, we read Romeo and Juliet. On Valentine's Day, I have my students create a Valentine from one character in the story to another (typically either from Romeo to Juliet or vice-versa).
