The students at Valley High deal with a variety of problems in their personal lives and school lives. Many of them have learning disabilities or trouble focusing in a traditional classroom. For many students, school is their safe space. These flexible seating and desk options will give the students more options for a comfortable learning environment. The standing desks and balance balls are specifically to serve my students with ADHD and other attention challenges. The floor chairs and lap desks are also for my students with attention challenges, but also to create a more welcoming space for all students.
