Students will have more fun reading by wearing house buttons for Harry Potter. These buttons will make the reading more relatable and come to life for them by giving them a sense of community because they will be able to identify others in their reading community with similar interests. My students come from a low socio-economic background and many have not had positive reading experiences at home. These buttons will let others know they are readers. These buttons will also empower my readers by letting them design their own buttons and get creative. Buttons will also identify tutors and experts.
