Your thoughtfulness and commitment to our students' well-being are truly appreciated and will have a significant positive impact on our learning environment.\r\n\r\nAs many of you know, our classroom has often been uncomfortably warm, especially during the hotter months of the school year. These high temperatures not only made it difficult for students to concentrate but also created a less-than-ideal atmosphere for effective learning. Despite our best efforts to mitigate the heat with fans and open windows, the discomfort remained a persistent challenge.\r\n\r\nThanks to your collective efforts, those days are now behind us. The new air conditioning unit has transformed our classroom into a cool, comfortable, and conducive space for learning. Since its installation, I have already noticed a remarkable improvement in the students' ability to focus and engage with the material. They are more alert, less irritable, and overall, much happier to be in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift extends beyond mere comfort. Studies have shown that a comfortable learning environment can significantly enhance academic performance. When students are not distracted by discomfort, they can better absorb information, participate in discussions, and complete their assignments to the best of their abilities. In this way, your contribution is an investment in their future success.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, the air conditioning unit has also had a positive impact on my ability to teach effectively. As educators, we strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students. However, it can be challenging to maintain enthusiasm and energy when dealing with the discomfort of a hot classroom. Now, with a more comfortable workspace, I can focus my attention entirely on delivering high-quality instruction and providing the individualized support that each student needs.\r\n\r\nI would also like to acknowledge the collaborative spirit that made this project possible. From the initial discussions to the fundraising efforts and the final installation, so many individuals contributed their time, resources, and expertise. It is truly inspiring to witness such a strong sense of community and a shared commitment to our students' well-being.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of all the students in our classroom, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your extraordinary gift. Your kindness and generosity will have a lasting impact on their lives, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1756086358376,"projectUrl":"project/sweat-free-success-in-special-ed/9642795/","projectTitle":"Sweat Free Success in Special Ed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sorrells","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10218058"},{"teacherId":1975917,"projectId":9594772,"letterContent":"Thank you for the support you have provided our classroom. Playing games while practicing math helps increase my students' participation and motivation to learn. By adding a level of competition, my students are more willing to take risks and try problems in class. It has also helped encourage teamwork and provide students with the opportunity to talk about math and problem solve with each other. \r\n\r\nIn particular, playing games has especially benefitted my math lab students. The goal of my math lab class is to give students more time and more practice with content taught by their regular math teacher. Sometimes it can be difficult for students to have a second math class and feel motivated to keep practicing more, particularly when math is a challenging subject for them. Playing games while we are practicing in lab helps encourage these students to remain focused and keep practicing. It also helps break down some of the barriers and stigmas students have about their ability to be successful in math. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your willingness to donate. My students and I greatly appreciate it.","fullyFundedDate":1755704640991,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-using-games-in-math-class-to-en/9595670/","projectTitle":"Game On! Without these supplies, students would not have been able to complete the required labs. \r\n\r\nI have heard more than one student express that they have enjoyed the labs and that they \"feel like a real chemist\". This sentiment is the exact purpose in doing hands-on labs, it makes the material real to them and gives them a sense of inclusion 'I'm like a real chemist'. Seeing themselves in that light can inspire students to continue to do hard things and to pursue areas of interest that may have scared them off before because they are 'too difficult' or 'too much work'. \r\n\r\nStudents have been able to use the lab supplies for more than 1 lab in class. Specifically, the stop watches have come in handy as cell phones are not allowed and students have used them multiple times in labs. Students will continue to use the stopwatches, specifically, and other lab supplies as we are 5 labs into a 12 lab course.","fullyFundedDate":1755708937747,"projectUrl":"project/lab-equipment-for-new-ce-chem-lab/9587806/","projectTitle":"Lab Equipment for new CE Chem Lab","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fonnesbeck","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10174877"},{"teacherId":10202957,"projectId":9642673,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in providing our classroom with a portable air conditioner. It has made such an incredible difference for my students. Before, the heat in our room made it hard for them to stay focused, especially during the afternoon when temperatures were at their highest. Now, with the AC, the classroom feels comfortable, and my students can put their energy into learning instead of trying to stay cool.\r\n\r\nThe students' reaction when they first walked into a cooler room was priceless. Many of them smiled and said things like, \"It feels so good in here!\" or \"Now we can actually think!\" For several of my students who have health needs and are especially sensitive to heat, this change has been life-changing. It's been wonderful to see them more comfortable and ready to learn each day.\r\n\r\nWith this new environment, we are able to move forward with our lessons without the distraction of the heat overwhelming the room. The AC has truly given us a better learning space, and I can already see the positive impact on student focus and engagement. These resources have already made such a difference for my students. The headphones allow them to focus more easily during independent work, particularly when video is involved, and when engaging with online learning tools. The reusable bags help us keep everything organized and in good condition, which means each student has consistent access to working headphones whenever they need them.\r\n\r\nWhen the headphones first arrived, my students were so excited to have their own set to use. For students who need extra support in focusing, the headphones have provided a calmer and more productive learning environment. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as they realized how much this small tool could help them succeed.\r\n\r\nAs we continue with our current lessons, these headphones are helping us move forward with confidence. My students are now able to engage more deeply with their work, practice important skills at their own pace, and enjoy learning in a way that feels personalized.
