I am a first year teacher. I am starting my career mid-year. I read this amazing story of Ally while I was student teaching. My students responded so incredibly well to this story and many saw themselves in Ally. I would love to be able to incorporate this into my new classroom. I want to my students to learn to love and enjoy reading as much as I do and I believe to do this they need to build a personal connection to the characters in a book. I believe this book will help my new students build a love for reading as it did for my students during my student teaching.
