Several aspects of mathematics need calculators in order to correctly solve problems. For example, a couple of things we work through in my class are trigonometric functions and the introduction to quadratic functions. Both of these subjects rely heavily on the use of calculators for more applicable problems. I like to use problems that relate to the real world in order to help my students find connections to life outside the classroom. With your help, my students will be able to use these calculators to help them work through more diverse and challenging problems. This will, in turn, help their growth and learning overall in my classroom.
