Your support has helped us provide resources that meet students' basic needs so they can focus on learning, reading, and being successful throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nStudents are using these resources every day. The library has become a place where students know they can quietly and discreetly access a snack or hygiene item when they need one. One especially memorable moment occurred when a student who had skipped breakfast came into the library looking tired and distracted. After grabbing a snack and taking a few minutes to regroup, they were able to return to class feeling more focused and ready to learn. Small moments like these remind us that meeting students' basic needs is essential to their academic success and overall well-being.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the supplies, many were surprised and incredibly grateful. Some students quietly expressed relief that these items were available, while others were excited to know that there was a place on campus where they could get what they needed without embarrassment or judgment. Knowing that caring people they have never met chose to support them made many students feel seen and valued.\r\n\r\nThe next step for our students is continuing to build a school culture where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. The library serves as more than a place for books—it is a space for studying, reading, collaborating, and connecting with others. By ensuring students have access to snacks and hygiene supplies, we are helping remove barriers that can interfere with learning and allowing students to fully engage in their classes, projects, and future goals.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students in such a meaningful way. Your generosity is helping create a caring environment where students know they matter and where they can focus on growing, learning, and reaching their full potential. Your gift is helping us create a collection that celebrates the many cultures and languages represented in our school community. These books are more than stories—they are opportunities for students to see themselves reflected in literature and to connect with experiences beyond their own.\r\n\r\nMany people love books but may not realize how much learning can happen through them. These new texts help students develop literacy skills, vocabulary, comprehension, and critical thinking. They also support language acquisition for multilingual learners and encourage all students to build empathy, cultural awareness, and global perspectives. Having access to books in students' home languages strengthens reading confidence and helps foster a lifelong love of reading.\r\n\r\nReading in our library looks different for every student. Some students are curled up with a book that reminds them of home, while others are exploring stories and cultures that are new to them. Students read independently, share recommendations with friends, discuss favorite characters, and often discover that stories transcend language barriers. We strive to create a welcoming environment where students can read for pleasure, curiosity, and personal growth.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have been especially excited about these new books. Our multilingual learners are thrilled to find books in languages they speak at home, and many have expressed how meaningful it is to see their languages represented on our shelves. Students who are studying world languages have also enjoyed exploring texts in languages they are learning. It has been wonderful to watch students eagerly recommend books to one another and experience the joy of finding stories that speak to them personally.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us provide books that affirm students' identities, broaden perspectives, and inspire a love of reading. With the binders, students were able to journal their thoughts on impacts of historical events on their current lives.
