As a Title I school, Lanier is unable to fund many essential materials that our student athletes need to practice in and compete in. Unfortunately, our kids practice in the shoes they wear to school because it might be their only good pair. Many come from torn/financially unstable families and this pair of shoes might end up being their first new pair of shoes in a long time. With your donations, my student-athletes will be able to run in shoes that are made for running and will be able to compete without worrying about injuries that could have been prevented by simply wearing the proper shoes.
