These new spaces have completely transformed our school community. The excitement, laughter, and joy were unforgettable. Every item donated has been put to great use and students are learning and enjoying school thanks to the materials. I'll start with the doorbell this item is teaching responsibility all students hear the doorbell but once a week a student is in charge of opening the door. It's amazing how something so simple can help make the students feel more involved in the classroom. The two-sided tape held up their work which is displayed in the classroom this helps them learn new words in both English and Spanish and it gives them a sense of ownership for their learning because they are using their own work (class decor) to learn. The sticker motivates them to finish their work and get that immediate reward that many of them need. The flags are expanding their world, every time we read a new book, we talk about the author and where he/she is from.
