Things that are exciting about the new microphones are that they are wireless and so they allow my students to practice more efficiently than they originally were able to. The range that the microphones have is also something that really impressed my students and is another aspect that is exciting to them. They have used all of these aspects of the microphones and love every single thing about them.\r\n My students, such as Isabel, Samira, and Evan have loved the new products a lot and use these microphones every day. They use them to practice and sing their hearts out like they love doing. This not only brings them, but brings me huge amounts of joy seeing them enjoy the microphone that you gave us. By providing this hands-on experience of physically placing the pads on a lifelike model and following the prompts of the trainer in a low stress environment, it builds their muscle memory which in turn will better prepare them for a high pressure situation. It is not just memorizing the steps. Doing this helps internalize these skills they need in order to save a life if necessary.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting aspect of the AED trainers is how realistic they are. I have demonstrated to them how a real AED works, and these trainers function in the same vein, providing real-time vocal prompts and scenarios for them to react to in the moment. I feel this will make them more comfortable in a true emergency setting as it is essentially a simulation of the real thing. My students are mostly visual and kinesthetic learners, which works well with this type of tech.\r\n\r\nAlthough they were initially uncomfortable with trying out the new AED trainers, my students have warmed up to them well. They now recognize them as tools of trial and error that have replaced initial hesitation and anxiety with confidence.
