According to The Mechanisms of Massage and Effects on Performance, Muscle Recovery and Injury Prevention by authors Pornratshanee Weerapong, Patria A. Hume, Gregory S. Koltusing prove that regular stretching and resistance band exercises do decrease dance injuries. Therefore using the STOTT Pilates Flex Band and yoga blocks, my dance students can reduce injury and gain strength. Dance students will use the following products during a guided warm up and stretching segment in class. Class planning will include specific dance exercises with the upper and lower body thus gaining the muscle mass around the biceps, triceps, as well as the quads, ankles, and calves. With your help having the following supplies will complete a specific dance TEK by the state of Texas, specifically "identify a comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and wellness for dancers."
