Your support has allowed me to expand on resources and incentives in the classroom. With this project, I was able to add a variety of stickers, croc charms, and candy as rewards for students who pass their math tests. Occasionally, I also reward good behavior with candy. \r\nStudents love to have a variety to choose from when picking their prize. All of the options available encourage them to keep pushing through, even when the lesson feels extra difficult. We were able to work on our first book reading project thanks to your hard work. We read for 10 minutes a day and were able to speak on a lot of issues of direct concern to my students-- like medical ethics, family, and racial equality.\r\n\r\nWhat is even better is that my students will be able to use these for years to come.\r\n\r\nIn class, we've used this book to build key reading and analytical skills: identifying author's purpose, analyzing tone and perspective, and making connections between nonfiction and real-world issues.
