Students who find themselves below the average reading level for their grade are often discouraged or disinterested in reading, simply because they haven't found books that interest them and are on their reading level.\r\n\r\nThese books have given many of my students an opportunity to learn to love reading. We often read at the beginning of classes or whenever classwork is finished. I have seen students who struggle just picking out a book and sitting down become enthralled with the books we have gotten. Graphic novels have been most helpful at engaging low level readers.\r\n\r\nThank you for your help!
