I started the year with broken headphones and I really needed new ones for testing and reading time on iPads. Having supplies already at school for them allows me to focus on their actually learning and not the stress of not having resources needed to support their learning. My students enjoyed investigating deeper in our unit about Newtons Laws of Motion , how air planes are designed, the engineering design process, and how rockets as a tool allow us to investigate the deep space. Students made their own air planes, created a solution to launch the farthest and highest rocket using different amounts of baking soda and vinegar and learned about how the four forces of aerodynamics affected their flight of the planes they created.
