They like to play a game where they have to repeat a pattern played by the person before them and add to it for the next student to repeat. It is challenging! Many students couldn't wait to get started and were highly engaged from the very first roll of the dice. \r\n\r\nStudents are using math manipulatives during hands-on lessons to build number sense and strengthen problem solving skills. Using dice, counters, and game boards, students roll, count, compare, and model math concepts in an engaging and meaningful way. The manipulatives allow students to visualize their thinking and explain their strategies to peers while working collaboratively.
