Building strong readers is the key to success. Fostering a love of reading is my ultimate goal. With tired materials and miss-matched sets of readers, its hard to harness the love. Group sets of leveled readers will excite my students, get them ready for the next story and give them confidence to continue to read. By donating these books, you will help me as I guide my students through the fundamentals of reading and show them how to apply their knowledge of phonics to every story book and close the achievement gap. Students will be able to focus and enjoy the academic materials at hand, instead of feeling unworthy of new materials. If students feel good about materials, they feel good about themselves while fostering their literacy as well as their desire to learn!
