Because of you, our classroom will have the resources needed to keep students energized, engaged, and excited about learning every single day.\r\n\r\nIn kindergarten, students are building the foundation for their entire educational journey. Every day they walk into the classroom full of curiosity, imagination, and a desire to explore the world around them. However, young learners also need the right tools and support to help them stay focused and ready to learn. Your donation helps provide exactly that. By supporting our project, you are helping create an environment where students feel comfortable, cared for, and prepared to do their best.\r\n\r\nMany of my students arrive each morning eager to participate, read, write, and discover new ideas. When they have the proper resources available to them, they are able to fully engage in lessons and classroom activities. Your generosity helps ensure that they have what they need to stay focused and energized throughout the school day. Whether we are working on early reading skills, exploring math concepts, or collaborating during hands-on activities, these resources make a real difference in helping students stay motivated and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour support also sends an important message to my students—that people outside of our classroom believe in them. When children learn that others care about their education and want to help them succeed, it builds their confidence and encourages them to work even harder. They begin to understand that their learning matters and that they are supported by a community that values education.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it is incredibly moving to see how generosity from donors like you can positively impact young learners. These moments remind us that education is truly a partnership between teachers, families, and caring supporters like you. Your gift not only provides valuable resources but also helps create joyful learning experiences that my students will remember.\r\n\r\nMy students and I are deeply grateful for your support. Because of your kindness, our classroom will continue to be a place where curiosity grows, creativity flourishes, and young minds are fueled for success. As a Title I school community, many of our students face financial hardships, and for some, Christmas gifts are simply not guaranteed. When the bags were opened and they realized the toys were truly theirs to keep, the room filled with gasps, cheers, and the biggest smiles. A few students quietly hugged their toys to their chests, while others excitedly showed their classmates what they received. In that moment, they felt seen, valued, and remembered. It was more than just a gift it was a reminder that a caring community came together just for them.\r\n\r\nAlthough the toys were holiday gifts, they have continued to positively impact our classroom. Students have used their new games and creative toys during indoor recess and our community-building time, learning to share, cooperate, and problem-solve together. One especially meaningful moment was watching a student who is often shy invite others to play with their new board game. That small act of confidence sparked laughter and connection across the table. The joy didn't end that day it carried into conversations, storytelling, and even writing activities where students described their favorite holiday memory.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are building on that sense of community and gratitude. Students are working on reflective writing pieces and thank-you notes, learning the importance of appreciation and giving back. The generosity of our donors has strengthened our classroom family and reminded our students that they are supported beyond the walls of our school. For many of them, this will be a Christmas they always remember not just because of the toys, but because of the kindness behind them.","fullyFundedDate":1764735207405,"projectUrl":"project/santa-claus-is-coming-to-town-part-v/9893384/","projectTitle":"Santa Claus Is Coming to Town - Part V","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ojo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7150021_orig.jpg?crop=2448,2448,x184,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1584024481110","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-ojo"},{"teacherId":8304069,"projectId":9922878,"letterContent":"WOW ! Students who typically struggle in areas of focus when it comes to Storytime or cooperation with others were able to learn how to use manipulatives in a way that would bolster assistance in both. The Magna Titles helped self-working students understand dimensions and to think of different build dynamics as they pertain to shape construction. The Lego sets encouraged other building strategies that made them think about placement, as did the train set. For the train set practice and building, I was able to see the students talking with each other to determine their own teamwork in things like track alignment and job within the group working.\r\n\r\nStudents were also able to get additional enjoyment and stay more engaged during Storytime than they usually would thanks to humorous read-aloud books including \"Ants In My Pants\", \"If you Laugh, I'm Starting This Book Over\" and \"The Book With No Pictures\", the last of which they were able to use as means to come up with their own silly-sentencing structure in the companion self-editing book \"My Book With No Pictures\".\r\n\r\nThe Sentence Builder Puzzle and Reusable Write & Wipe Pockets were an opportunity for select students to practice trial and error with sentence, word and image placement.
