Because of the donation, I was able to print out student's writing and display it on our hallway bulletin board for all to see! Technology is huge in our school and students are using the platform to construct their writing. After hitting the \"submit\" button, they are used to that being the last time they see their writing! But now, with your donation of ink, I was able to print their writings and display it. Displaying the work builds confidence and gives them a sense of pride. When students see their work, they are proud and take ownership. This then motivates them to want to work harder for their chance of being displayed.\r\n\r\nBeing printed, also allows students to self assess their writing using highlighters, which then allows me to track their progress.\r\n\r\nThe donation of ink might seem small, but you have made a great impression with your donation. One recent project involved students working on multi-step word problems and organizing their thinking with visual models. The flexible seating has helped so many students stay focused and comfortable, especially during longer problem-solving activities.\r\n\r\nThe glue has been great for our interactive math notebooks—students are gluing in practice problems, foldable, and reference charts. Their notes are now much more organized and understandable, which has made a big difference when it's time to review for tests or quizzes. They were thrilled! When we opened the boxes, students were excited and immediately started asking if they could use the materials right away. For many of them, having new supplies felt special and motivating.\r\n\r\nThe headsets have been a game-changer—especially for students who need a quiet environment to concentrate or who benefit from having math problems or instructions read aloud. It's allowed them to work independently and confidently at their own pace.\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students are learning in a space that supports their individual needs—and they're thriving because of it!","fullyFundedDate":1758898992901,"projectUrl":"project/make-our-8th-grade-the-best/9506623/","projectTitle":"Make Our 8th Grade the Best","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Camputaro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3535772_orig.jpg?crop=1994,1994,x597,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1566830384024","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3535772"},{"teacherId":9654856,"projectId":9729814,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! Our students have begun using the materials provided. Today was the first day, and an auspicious day, that our students used the creature viewers outdoors. Before we went outdoors the students had a chance to view a couple of insects indoors including a ladybug. \r\n\r\nOutdoors began with a cricket, whom the students kindly named \"Jiminy\". The excitement of finding a cricket and being able to make observations about him helped many students overcome a fear of insects.\r\n\r\nAt the end of the day, we still had Jiminy the cricket with us. One student, who is quite shy took a liking to Jiminy and kept him close by for a long time. A moment later the most auspicious moment took place. A student found a pink spotted hawkmoth whom the students named bobby. This is a behemoth (no pun intended) moth. It has spectacular pink spots on its thorax and lower wings. Using our creature viewer really helped. \r\n\r\nWe live in NY, so they aren't so common here. We're wondering if it's attracted to the sweet potatoes we are growing or the nectar of our morning glories and petunias, all being grown in our garden space. After some mesmerized viewing, we decided to let our spectacular find fly off into the wilderness. The students all cheered and said goodbye to \"bobby\" as our new found friend flew off.\r\n\r\nWe hope to share more finds as our curios gardeners explore more and more and stories continue to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1756495967786,"projectUrl":"project/science-garden-insight-and-curiosity/9422275/","projectTitle":"Science Garden: Insight and Curiosity","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Dodd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp577315_orig.png?crop=720,720,x615,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754120907034","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rdodd"},{"teacherId":9654856,"projectId":8648238,"letterContent":"I am beyond grateful for your generosity and support in funding my project, Colorful Learning: Empowering Students with Essential Classroom Supplies! Thanks to your kindness, my students now have access to a variety of essential materials that have already made a meaningful impact in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, my students were thrilled to see the construction paper, Crayola Classpacks, dry erase markers, sticky notes, and other resources that are now part of our daily learning. The Expo markers and erasers have transformed our whiteboard activities, allowing students to actively engage in lessons and collaborate with confidence. The abundance of Crayola crayons, colored pencils, and construction paper has encouraged creativity, enabling students to illustrate their understanding of literature through artistic projects.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of receiving these supplies has been the opportunity for my students to create meaningful and creative projects, which I have proudly displayed on our classroom bulletin board. Seeing their work showcased has filled them with a sense of pride and accomplishment, further motivating them to participate and express themselves. These projects have added so much color and energy to our classroom, making it an even more engaging and inspiring place to learn.\r\n\r\nThese materials have not only brightened up our classroom but have also enhanced my students' learning experiences, allowing them to express themselves confidently and collaborate effectively with their peers.
