An easel would allow me to model in a full class or small group instruction. In addition to teaching literacy, I also teach my students about financial literacy. My goal is to have my students create a resume that they can use when they are old enough to work. I also teach my students how to write a scholarship letter so they are both high school and college and career ready. The ink and copy paper would be used to print my students’ work. There is no greater feeling than seeing a child smile when they see their work displayed around the classroom. The post it’s will be used daily when we practice independent reading. This will allow all of my students to annotate and display their thinking.
