My students are very passionate about music. They want to play everyday and be able to practice at home as well. Normally, an instrument will be used by multiple students throughout the school day and taken home for practice by different students on different days, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, that is not considered a safe practice. Having more instruments available will allow my students to actively participate in making music while keeping them safe. The more they are able to play, the quicker they will improve. As they progress, they will be able to work as individuals and as a team to improve their musicianship. As they improve as musicians, they will experience the process of creating music with others and working together towards a common goal. This will foster a sense of teamwork, collaboration, long term achievement, and patience in achieving a goal that is greater than the sum of its parts.
