We are using them daily during math and literacy rotations to support hands-on learning, differentiated instruction, and IEP goal practice. One standout moment was during a math center where students used manipulatives to sort, count, and graph objects—skills that can be challenging in a traditional worksheet format. With these materials, students were able to physically engage with the concepts, and I saw a noticeable increase in understanding and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. They were eager to explore, asking questions and wanting to try everything right away. For many of my students, especially those who benefit from sensory and visual learning, these materials felt like an invitation to learn rather than a task to complete. That enthusiasm has carried over—center time has become something they truly look forward to each day.\r\n\r\nBecause of these resources, student engagement has significantly increased. Students are staying focused longer, collaborating more with peers, and showing more independence in their work. Even students who typically struggle to remain engaged are now actively participating and completing tasks.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build on this momentum by incorporating the materials into structured skill-building centers that align with individual IEP goals and grade-level standards. Our next steps include expanding our use of these tools for more complex problem-solving, language development activities, and interactive group projects. These materials are helping create a classroom environment where students feel successful, motivated, and excited to learn—and that impact is truly lasting.","fullyFundedDate":1768094817490,"projectUrl":"project/engage-standard-centers/9993428/","projectTitle":"Engage Standard Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9097013"},{"teacherId":7808848,"projectId":9998885,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the donation and opportunity to choose what I need for my students. \r\n My class has really enjoyed using the materials to learn and practice phonics skills. Students now use these seating options during small‑group instruction and independent work. The ability to move slightly while working has helped students release excess energy, remain focused for longer periods of time, and engage more actively in their learning. A particularly meaningful moment was seeing students independently choose seating that met their needs and then successfully sustain attention during a lesson that would previously have been challenging.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new seating options, their excitement was immediate. Many expressed relief and enthusiasm at having choices that made learning feel more comfortable and less restrictive. For students with attention and sensory needs, this flexibility has reduced anxiety and increased their willingness to participate. The classroom environment now feels more supportive and inclusive, allowing students to approach learning with greater confidence and a more positive mindset.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these seating options will continue to support students as they build essential academic skills and develop independence and self‑regulation. By providing an environment that honors their individual learning styles, students are better able to focus on instruction and take ownership of their learning. Your support has helped create a classroom where every student feels valued, comfortable, and capable of success, and it has made a lasting impact on their daily learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1768100649100,"projectUrl":"project/alternative-seating-for-busy-minds/9994227/","projectTitle":"Alternative Seating for Busy Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Alff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10399336"},{"teacherId":8143480,"projectId":9991178,"letterContent":"The students are very excited that we now have enough copies of The Wild Robot for each of them to use during read aloud time and for subsequent activities. Students are now able to focus on instructional videos, interactive lessons, reading programs, and assessments at their own pace. This has been especially impactful for students who benefit from listening to directions multiple times or who need a quieter, more personalized learning experience.\r\nThe headphones have also supported differentiated instruction. Students can work on targeted skill practice, enrichment activities, or intervention programs without interrupting others. As a result, classroom transitions are smoother, engagement is higher, and learning time is used more effectively.\r\nPerhaps most importantly, the headphones have helped foster independence and confidence. Students eagerly open their books, point to words, stretch out sounds, and reread sentences with growing fluency. Because the text is accessible, students are not guessing or memorizing—they are truly reading. This leads to stronger comprehension and a sense of pride as they realize they can read an entire book independently.\r\n\r\nThese books have been especially impactful for our beginning and struggling readers. Students who once felt frustrated or hesitant are now excited to participate and volunteer to read aloud.
