One of the most exciting classroom moments was watching students carefully measure, mix, and create their own handmade items while encouraging one another and taking pride in their work.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new supplies, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity. Many students couldn't believe they would get to make products like \"real candle makers\" and \"soap makers.\" They were eager to get started, and the project immediately increased engagement—students who sometimes struggle to stay focused were motivated and participating from start to finish. Using the materials you funded, students worked together to make candles to sell at our most recent farmers market. This experience gave them a powerful sense of ownership and confidence because they weren't just creating a craft—they were creating something purposeful that could be shared with the community.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue creating candles and soaps as part of an ongoing project focused on learning life skills such as following multi-step directions, collaboration, and problem-solving.
