Kindergarten is a critical year. At this age, it is imperative that children participate in daily literacy activities. These skills are the foundation of all future learning. Children that practice reading daily are more likely to succeed in school. Access to books is essential to developing and practicing new skills. Many of my students do not have books available for them at home. These materials will give the children an opportunity to take books home each night to practice emerging skills with their families. Parents can play an active role in the education of their children, share in the love of learning, and ensure that their children are prepared for success in school.
