The students love the whiteboards to review vocabulary and prepare for exams. I find that the students test better with the use of the privacy folders during exams. This is really helpful for my visual learners. \r\nThe cleaning wipes and scented warmers have kept the classroom clean and smelling fresh and calming. We use a lot of guided video lessons, tutorials, and interactive practice, and the headphones let students clearly hear instructions without competing classroom noise. That means they can follow step by step, replay parts they missed, and work at a pace that fits them. It also helps me run small groups and one on one support while the rest of the class stays engaged and focused.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is the independence and the \"real lab\" feeling. They love being able to plug in, start learning right away, and stay locked in on their task. I have several students who have especially warmed up to them, including quieter students who do not always ask for help out loud and students who need to hear directions more than once to feel confident. With the headphones, they are more willing to try, troubleshoot, and keep going because they can learn privately, clearly, and without frustration. Our class has been using the pencils, colored pencils and glue sticks daily to create interactive notebooks. The students love using all the colors to highlight key vocabulary and examples. These notebooks are an amazing tool that allow students to take ownership of their learning. The students know that they can always refer back to their notes on quizzes and unit tests. The notebooks have led to much student independence, growth and achievement.\r\nThe markers have been amazing in helping us work in teams. We have been attempting something called the 360 classroom. This is a flexible, interactive learning space in which all students are up at white boards around the room working through problems. The students feel much more comfortable working with the dry erase markers as they focus on the problem solving process and mathematical discourse. The results have been amazing.
