These materials will help us to be able to learn virtually and interact more fluidly with computer based math lessons, but will also provide hands-on learning opportunities while we are able to be in person. Math is inherently interactive, and providing physical manipulative helps students to better understand their relationship with what they are learning. Math fundamentals are so important and should be practiced constantly. Mastering the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as early as possible sets students up for long-term mathematic success. The fundamental manipulatives listed here will give us opportunity to practice the basic skills further.
