This year we will be learning about fractions! We would like to have a class rug so that we can work in a hands-on manner, and sit in a circle and use sections of the rug, so that we can visualize different parts of a whole. One of the students suggested we get a rug, after learning about our class suggestion box. Students were delighted to see I had invited them to share their ideas and place them in the suggestion box! Some suggested that a rug be added to the classroom, so I decided to join this site to see if I could make this happen. I have reached out to Lakeshore Learning, Staples and found other great places on this site. This rug will help my students feel at home in class!
