The reeds we received were a great help for our first Festival Performance in CCSD after a 5 year absence. Our students have noted great differences in their playing quality with the new reeds. Our students felt confident in their music ability and were able to earn a rating of Excellent in festival. \r\n\r\nStudents continued that success with our yearly Spring Concert were parents and staff noticed a difference in sound quality after the concert. Most notably, the donations of blue juice has heavily decreased the need to service our valves on a daily basis. The valve oil helps the instruments stay lubed longer \r\n\r\nFinally, the sousaphone pads have greatly increased the longevity of our instruments. Our students have felt more confident in taking off their sousas outside. This helps them rest and be able to perform for longer periods. The great part was that when we took the next exam, they used their notes to find the answers after they highlighted the pages. The highlighters made a big difference. \r\nAs messy as the room became, the student are using the sweepers, cleaning their desks all thanks to your donations to our classroom. \r\nOf course they used all the other things as well but the highlighters and cleaners made the biggest impact. They were used to getting Jolly Ranchers but getting more helped me almost make it to the end of the year. The art in the books has really helped my students understand the stories (and they even grab them during state testing as their books to read!). \r\n\r\nI ended up teaching a preparation class to support students extra outside of class time. The supplies helped them be successful in the class, and the snacks helped them focus while completing the extra work. \r\n\r\nMy kids are so on it when it is time for them to turn in their rewards cards for snacks.
