Having an extension cord and dedicated charging tower has eliminated the hassle of dead devices, allowing students to seamlessly transition into tech-based activities without losing precious learning time. The sanitizer, Kleenex, rubber bands, and sticky tack have allowed us to keep our space clean, healthy, and organized. Students are actively using the decorative tape and sticky tack to display their work around the room with pride, while the Jolly Ranchers serve as a sweet, simple incentive that keeps motivation high during independent practice.\r\n\r\nBecause our physical space is now sanitized and fully organized, my students can direct 100% of their focus toward their academic goals. My students do not get much exposure to current events and this allows them to get familiar with things going on in the world. I have curious students and this allows them to work on their questioning skills and understanding. My students are working on higher level questioning and the articles in Junior Scholastic will allow them to work on creating those higher level questions. Students who need extra practice with basic facts will be able to practice independently while I provide individualized instruction to another student.\r\n\r\nThe technology will be especially meaningful for students who are hesitant to participate because they are afraid of making mistakes.
