I used the bulletin board materials and posters from this project to decorate our classroom in a way that promotes safety, encouragement, and belonging. As students walk into the room each morning, they are greeted by positive visuals and an organized environment that helps them feel comfortable and ready to learn. For my students with Specific Learning Disabilities, this kind of structured and peaceful setting makes a meaningful difference in their ability to focus and engage.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the newly decorated classroom, their reactions were incredibly heartwarming. Several students smiled, pointed to the posters, and shared how much they liked the way the classroom looked. Others commented that the room felt \"nice,\" \"clean,\" and \"calm.\" These moments may seem small, but they are powerful—my students felt proud of their classroom and recognized that it was a space created with their needs in mind.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, this supportive environment will continue to play an important role in our daily lessons and routines. A clean, organized classroom helps my students regulate their emotions, reduce distractions, and build confidence as they work on academic and social skills. Because of your generosity, my students now have a safe learning space where they can grow, feel valued, and focus on becoming successful learners. Thank you for giving our classroom such a meaningful gift.","fullyFundedDate":1768070460087,"projectUrl":"project/the-growing-minds-classroom/9991045/","projectTitle":"The Growing Minds Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Almanza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9373532"},{"teacherId":9351544,"projectId":7996531,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all of your donations! Your donations helped to create a fun and safe learning environment. My students were extremely excited to see their new classroom theme: Space. I think this made coming to school more fun and engaging. Along with that, you provided my students with a safe place to feel their emotions and let out some extra energy. Thank you so much for creating a space that truly felt like a second home. I am so thankful and happy to share that I am currently still using it to decorate my third year classroom. The blue colors help create a calming space that kids feel calm and safe enough to learn. Therefore, I have used the same supplies that you donated to me back in 2023. Thank you so much for also providing my students with amazing books that integrated social emotional skills and inclusion. It is because of giant hearts like you that our kids can be eager to come to class and gain a love for live long learning.","fullyFundedDate":1699268624564,"projectUrl":"project/out-of-this-world-learning/7996531/","projectTitle":"Out-Of-This-World Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mejia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9351544_orig.jpg?crop=962,962,x149,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699245311253","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9351544"},{"teacherId":10114194,"projectId":9672277,"letterContent":"I'm on my first day of Winter Break (YAY!), and I want to thank you again for the contribution you made to getting essential supplies for my Kinder class this past fall! It was an extremely challenging semester, but thinking of the many friends who have supported me in this new calling has been a great source of encouragement.\r\n\r\nThe set of supplies my students use daily includes brightly colored vinyl document covers, whiteboard markers, and mini whiteboard erasers. They use them in both their literacy and math centers. During center rotations, one of the ways my kinders are motivated to do \"Level 3\" or \"Level 4\" work (meaning they are either \"Working Hard and Being Respectful\" or \"Working Hard, Being Respectful, and Challenging Themselves\") is by completing the work and getting their picture taken (which is then featured on my slides showing what Level 3 or Level 4 work looks like!). Having these vinyl covers, whiteboard markers, and whiteboard erasers adds so much accountability to the centers! \r\n\r\nAnother one of the supplies they absolutely love is the watercolor paint sets! Having their own little paint set to illustrate their writing (or at this point, more their thoughts, with the beginnings of labels for their drawings) makes their writing assignments so much more fun! \r\n\r\nThe thick triangular grip pencils you all helped purchase have been wonderful as a transition to regular #2 pencils, especially for my kiddos with weaker fine motor skills. These, along with the clipboards, are used during whole-group instruction at the carpet. This is a lifesaver for me; they sit six at each table, and there's no way I'd be able to keep all their eyes facing towards me!! \r\n\r\nI'm remembering each of you today and asking God to touch you by His presence this Advent season.","fullyFundedDate":1757540048535,"projectUrl":"project/kinder-classroom-basics/9672277/","projectTitle":"Kinder Classroom Basics!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hui","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10114194_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x0,y208&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756789780286","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10114194"},{"teacherId":9119969,"projectId":8000843,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our kindergarten classroom! The moment the new materials arrived, my students were filled with joy and excitement. One of the most memorable moments was when we used the new supplies during our literacy centers. They eagerly explored each new item, taking turns, asking questions, and working together with big smiles on their faces. One student even shouted, \"This is the best day ever!\" Your gift truly brought joy and inspiration into our classroom.\r\nWe used these materials as part of our unit on letters, sounds, and early reading skills. The next step for our students was creat their own little books using the tools you helped provide. They learned how to express themselves through pictures and words, and it's been incredible to watch their confidence grow.
