They are now hands-on innovators. Unlike traditional kits that follow a rigid path, these open-ended supplies allow them to ask \"what if?\" and build unique solutions to complete the circuits. \r\nJust in the past month, one of some of our students spent over an hour troubleshooting a circuit of their own design. The moment it finally buzzed to life, the look of sheer pride and \"can-do\" confidence on their face was priceless. Your gift didn't just buy wires and mother boards; it bought that moment of discovery and the resilience that comes with it.\r\n\r\nThank you for being the hero in our students' STEM journey. The whiteboards and markers allow every child to actively participate, practice their thinking, and build confidence without fear of making mistakes. The magnetic letters have been especially exciting, helping students strengthen their reading and spelling skills through hands-on, interactive learning. And with their own erasers, students can quickly revise their work, encouraging a growth mindset and perseverance.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has created a more dynamic, inclusive, and joyful learning environment. We have received the classroom math materials and have been very excited to begin using them. \r\n\r\nWhen our boxes of supplies first arrived, the students couldn't believe that we were getting these items for free. They said, 'It's like Santa came!' They were so excited to help me unpack the boxes and show them the new math materials that they would be able to begin using at math centers and in our math tubs. \r\n\r\nMs. Ducky got right to work designing and making some engaging math games with the card stock and new laminator. We just started learning about subtraction, so we were very excited to learn the new math game called, 'Get Off My Boat' that uses the magnetic people to show people getting off a boat to practice subtraction. I also made a 'Pete the Cat' subtraction game for subtraction as well. Our kindergarten students were in desperate need of a game board to work on identifying teen numbers. I was able to make this math game for them with the card stock so they are able to better practice this skill. \r\n\r\nThe kids are enjoying using the magnetic wipe-off boards to write math equations and I am completely impressed with how well these boards wipe off - no mess left behind! These magnetic boards are also being used to sort magnetic numbers as 'odd & even' numbers. We like that the boards are magnetic so they hold the numbers in place nicely while the kids are sorting the numbers. We will be using these boards all year long due to their extreme versatility. \r\n\r\nThese materials are consistently being implemented into our weekly math centers. The kids are able to use the attribute blocks to not only identify characteristics of shapes, but are also able to sort the different shapes and express similarities and differences between the different shapes. We recently learned about quadrilaterals so the kids were eager to sort them as 'Quadrilaterals' and 'Not Quadrilaterals'. \r\n\r\nWe are never done learning math. These materials are just the beginning of a great math learning journey for these kids and the next group of kids to follow. By helping fund this project, you have given so many children an opportunity to achieve a strong background of number sense in math. This is something that sadly, not every child has the chance at.\r\n\r\nWe thank you again so much for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1768162528568,"projectUrl":"project/mathematically-possible/9999152/","projectTitle":"Mathematically Possible!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fessenden (Ms. Ducky)","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1685443_orig.jpg?crop=279,279,x15,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768150121567","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1685443"},{"teacherId":8124468,"projectId":9888424,"letterContent":"Dear Donors,\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project.
